Women’s Retirement Seminar: From Here to There: A Clear Overview of Retirement
When: Monday, Feb. 7 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: ACE, 219 East Woodford St.
Instructor: Thomas W. Potts, financial adviser
Cost: $10 for booklet
Description: Talking about finances is so important, but the reality is that many women are not talking about it. You probably know women who are involved in managing their careers, and children’s activities, and look after their family’s health and well-being, but are uncomfortable talking about finances and retirement. This seminar addresses women’s unique retirement considerations, what they should know, and how they can prepare for retirement. Join our class, bring your questions, and get ready to take control of your financial future.

Hip Hop Dance for Children
When: Feb. 8-March 15 on Tuesday from 5-6 p.m.
Where: Anderson Middle School cafeteria
Instructor: Jeriann Winfrey
Cost: $39
Description: This class is an introduction to the hip hop style of dance. Many different styles and techniques will be demonstrated and taught for the specified age groups. Participants need to wear tennis shoes and long, flexible pants.

Basic Digital Camera (DSLR) Photography
When: February 8, 15, and 22 from 6:30-8 p.m.
Where: Anderson Middle School, seventh grade computer lab
Instructor: Jessica Houtz
Cost: $39
Description: Learn the elements needed to take a better digital photo. The class will cover basic terminology and provide information about composition, single leans reflex cameras, reasons to use digital images, when to use a flash and more. Bring a notebook, pencil and your camera.

Anderson Community Education also offers adult education programs with instruction for a GED diploma, college preparation, computer literacy or English as a second language.
