County 4-H horse club receives honors at state contest

In June, seven members of the Anderson County 4-H Horse Club traveled to the Kentucky State 4-H Horse Contest in Lexington to compete against other counties for top honors in Horse Bowl, Hippology, Speech, Photography and Crafts.
Junior team members were Katie Shouse, Emily Adams, Allison Adams and Madison Hagan. Senior team members were Emily Drury, Hannah White and Alison Guzicki. The junior team placed 5th overall in Hippology and placed in the top 10 in Horse Bowl. The senior team placed second overall in Hippology and fourth overall in Horse Bowl.
It also received numerous top 10 individual honors, including two state champions with Emily Drury receiving first in the Senior Equipment division and Allison Adams receiving first in the Junior Art Original Design.
