County courthouse to close for business Sept. 3-4

The Anderson County Courthouse will be closed Tuesday, Sept. 4 as part of a statewide shutdown of the Kentucky Judicial Branch, it was announced.
The court system also will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, to observe the Labor Day holiday.
This will be the first time since Kentucky’s modern court system was formed in 1976 that the Judicial Branch must close courthouse doors to balance its budget, officials said in a news release.
The court system will also be closed Monday, Oct. 15.
