The Anderson County Fiscal Court voted 5-2 last Tuesday night to construct a $325,000 building, a cornerstone of its new recycling program expected to begin early next year.
The vote effectively ends any discussion on mandatory recycling, an effort pushed previously by Judge-Executive John Wayne Conway and Magistrate David Ruggles, who chairs the county’s solid waste program.
