The Anderson County cross country team had a tough day in Saturday's Region 6 cross country meet, held at Masterson Station Park in Lexington. Both the Anderson boys and Anderson girls finished eighth in the region and the Bearcats were shut out from individual qualifications as well.
Paul L. Dunbar won the boys' team competition with Tates Creek, Lafayette and Henry Clay all qualifying for the state. The top five individuals not on those teams also qualify.
Woodford County won the girls' competition with Tates Creek, Lafayette and Dunbar also advancing.
