Cub Scouts thankful for community’s help

-A A +A

To the editor:
Thank you to everyone in Lawrenceburg for supporting those in need in March.
The Cub Scout core value for March 2012 was compassion.  Lawrenceburg Cub Scout Pack 38 was very active in exercising this core value and had a lot of help from those from Lawrenceburg.
Pack 38 helped gather two truckloads of supplies needed by the tornado victims in Menifee and Morgan (West Liberty) counties. Cub Scout Pack 38 also held a food drive for Open Hands Food Pantry and gathered 15 grocery carts of goods from patrons of Kroger and Walmart ,plus gathered another $394 in cash or checks that was used to purchase more items or was given directly to the Open Hands Food Pantry.
I am so proud to live in our community where many are so caring for those in need. So many set a great example for our scouts and I know that our scouts learned what it means to give.
Thank you, Pack 38 Cub Scouts, and thank you, Lawrenceburg.
