A deputy sheriff shot and killed a dog inside the home of a Horn Drive resident after it attacked him while he was trying to serve a warrant last week.
Deputy Matt Rogers shot the pit bull twice, including once in the head, while it was biting his leg, Sheriff Troy Young said, adding the dog’s teeth penetrated Rogers’ leg “to the bone.”
