The site-based decision-making council at Anderson County High School is seeking to gather as much input as possible by inviting students, parents, staff and community members to complete an online survey to provide input to the council, according to a press release.

The survey can be accessed at www.acschools.net and will close at midnight on June 10.

The council also will provide hard copies for parents and students who do not have access to the Internet. Hard copies may be picked up and returned to the Board of Education’s central office during the same time span.

The staff workshop will be held June 10 in the ACHS media center.

“We value your input as we make this very important decision,” the press release said.

The high school’s SBDM council hopes to name a principal by June 29, according to Superintendent Sheila Mitchell.

The council will complete required principal selection training on June 10. During the training the council will develop preliminary criteria for selection and develop a draft of interview questions based on the criteria.

On June 15, applications will be reviewed and interviews will be scheduled. The council will conduct interviews and evaluate candidates on June 23 and June 25.
