Anderson County High School student Emily Drury advanced to the state Farm Bureau contest after winning the title of Outstanding Girl Youth in district competition.
She is a daughter of Jeff and Nicole Drury of Lawrenceburg.
Drury delivered a two minute speech on agriculture and was interviewed for seven minutes during the district competition.
Also competing in the competition were students Logan Stevens and Erin Paden.
Drury will compete at the state level Dec. 1 in Louisville against 11 other district finalists.
