High School invites
community to prom
open house
The students and faculty of Anderson County High School would like to invite the public to a prom open house on April 28 from 7-7:45 p.m.
According to Chris Glass, associate principal, “During this time members of the community will be allowed to witness first hand the transformation the high school undergoes for our students’ magical evening.”  
The tour will cost $1 and all proceeds will go to the 2013 prom fund.

Application for $1,000 scholarship now
Applications are now being accepted for a $1,000 scholarship in honor of Thomas Carter Barnes IV.
Any senior at Frankfort High School, Franklin County High School, Western Hills High School and Anderson County High School will be eligible to apply.
Applications can be picked up at the guidance counselors’ office in each school and are due back to the Guidance Counselors by Monday, May 7.

Student honored at
Xavier’s All Honors Day
Arianne Riley of Lawrenceburg was honored at Xavier University’s All Honors Day on April 21.
Riley received John A. Wiethe Award, In memory of John A. Wiethe, Class of 1934, and presented to upperclassmen majoring in international studies and demonstrating academic excellence and promise as graduate students.
All Honors Day is a day of celebration of academic, athletic and leadership achievements at Xavier University.
Riley is a double international studies and French major and will be studying in France next year. She is a daughter of Earl and Linda Riley of Frankfort and Donna and Steve Wecker of Lawrenceburg.
