Student graduates
with nursing degree
Jill Jackson of Lawrenceburg, daughter of Jimmy Joe and Tamara Jackson, graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing from St. Catherine College.
She is currently employed with the University of Kentucky medical center.


Walker passes pharmacy board
Audra Walker, a graduate of Anderson County High School and the Harrodsburg Area Technology Center Nursing 1 program, recently passed the pharmacy technician certification board exam.
According to a press release, the training course was 240 hours of classroom work and 50 plus hours of clinical training.
Susan Readnower was the instructor.

Jacoby graduates
from Clemson University
Benjamin Gardner Jacoby of Lawrenceburg graduated  May 11from Clemson University with a bachelor of science in bioengineering.
Jacoby joined Clemson University’s largest-ever graduating class.
The tally of degrees awarded was 2,841, as 2,242 students completed requirements for bachelor’s degrees, 514 received master’s degrees and 85 earned doctorates.

Student selected to dean’s list, president’s scholar program at WKU
Nick Beasmore of Lawrenceburg has been named to the Western Kentucky University dean’s list for the spring 2012 semester, and has been selected as a president’s scholar for the fall 2011 semester.
Students chosen as president’s scholars at WKU must have a GPA of 3.8 or higher out on a 4.0 scale.
Beasmore has also received the Ogden College Foundation scholarship in support of full time study in the Ogden College of Science and Engineering degree program at Western Kentucky University.
Beasmore is a son of Lea and Kevin Beasmore of Lawrenceburg.
