Extension announces classes

The Anderson County Extension Service will offer a variety of classes through the end of April, the agency announced.
Those interested are asked to call 839-7271 to sign up.

Spring Wool Banner
Tuesday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Fee: $25, pre-registered
Using new and recycled wool, we will be creating hand stitched spring bouquet banners with hanging tabs.   Everyone will be working with the same floral pattern, but can personalize their banners with words and additional stitches however they desire.

Bluegrass Pride landscaping class
Thursday, April 21, 6:30 p.m.
Fee: free
Greening your lawn and garden not only saves you money but it helps keep the water system clean by reducing the amount of fertilizers and pesticides in the water. Bluegrass Pride will answer your questions.
Whether it’s about what fertilizers to use, how often to mow your lawn, or even how to install a rain barrel.

Go Green in Your Closet
Wednesday, April 27, 2 p.m.
Fee: free
During this program you will learn how to reduce, reuse or donate to help you shop from your reorganized clothes closet including tips on organizing your clothes by season and much more.

Basic Technique Quilting Class
Saturday, April 30 and May 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Fee: $30, call to receive supplies list
This class is for anyone who needs help to improve their quilting or might need a refresher.
