Fair, Horse Show continues through Saturday

The Lawrenceburg Fair and Horse Show continues to showcase beauty pageant winners, circus performers, trucks and tractors, and of course, horses during the final days of the 2011 Fair and Horse Show at the city park and fairgrounds.
Tonight’s activities include the 2-year-old baby show starting at 5:30 p.m., as well as the 3-year-old Wee Miss and Mister and 4-year-old Tiny Miss and Mister pageants. June 30 ends the week of pageants with the Lawrenceburg Little Miss and Mister contest at 6 p.m.
The winners of Lawrenceburg Little Miss and Mister will be eligible for the Kentucky State Fair pageant.
The Kent Family Magic Circus performs two shows each evening at 7 and 8:30 p.m., with its last show at 8:30 p.m. on July 2. This show features juggling, bullwhips, illusions, fire acts, stage shows and strolling. For more information, visit www.victorkent.com.
Championship horse shows run from tonight to July 1 at 7:30 p.m. The academy horse show will be July 2 at 10 a.m.
Carnival games and classic carnival food, like cotton candy and funnel cakes, will be available for purchase throughout the rest of the week until the last day of the Fair and Horse Show on July 2. Carnival rides like the Quasar, the Superman and Dixie Swings are free with the $8 admission fee.
The KTPA Truck and Tractor Pull on July 2 features Pr-stock 2WD and Pro-stock 4WD entries, as well as 6000 Limited Light Super tractors. According to the official Fair website, all pullers for sanctioned classes must be a member of KTPA.
