The seventh annual Anderson County Schools Family Fun Fest will be Thursday, July 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Anderson County Middle School.
The first 800 Anderson County students in preschool to eighth grade to attend will receive free backpacks with school supplies.
The event is sponsored by the district Family Resource and Youth Service Centers, Wal-Mart and the middle school
Many special guests will attend the event, including DARE officers, representatives from the fire department, EMS and Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald and a National Guard helicopter will make an appearance.
