Anderson County has been designated for individual assistance and public assistance as part of Kentucky’s federal disaster declaration stemming from flooding last month, Federal Emergency Management Agency officials announced.
Anderson County Emergency Management Director Bart Powell said he received the news on May 24.
The disaster declaration does not promise individuals any funding, but opens the door so that those who have been affected can apply to see if they meet the requirements for assistance, Powell said.
