First Christian Church hosts “Called to be a blessing” women’s retreat

First Christian Church, located on 300 South Main St., will host the “Called to be a blessing” women’s retreat Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
It will be a day of renewal through worship, workshops, conversation and food. The keynote speaker is Dr. Connie White, an OB/GYN and women’s health advocate. The special guest is Sean Ramey, who appeared on Season 4 of “The Bachelorette,” and has a sixth degree Tae Kwon Do black belt and is a mugging and rape prevention instructor.
