Kentucky's finest seventh- and eighth-grade football players were recently selected to participate in the fourth annual Kentucky Middle School Football Association East-West All-Star Game held at Kentucky State University over Thanksgiving weekend.

Representing Anderson County in the seventh-grade game were Isaac Marret, Bryce Edmondson and Cobe Penny. Each played well as the East team won 30-28, according to a news release.

Along with those players, Mustang head coach Brian Holloman and assistant coach Shawn Black were part of the East coaching staff.

The eighth grade game included two Mustangs, John Paul Garmon and Justin Jenkins, each of whom played very well for the East squad helping them to a 36-8 victory, the news release states. Also selected for the eighth-grade team were Cade Cotton and Bryndon Labhart, but were not able to participate.

Both victories for the East teams were the first in the game's short history. Players from Anderson County Middle School have participated in every game that has been held.
