Friends of the Anderson Public Library presented a $2,500 check to the Anderson County High School Student Book Fund for the second year.
According to a press release from the organization, ‘Friends are able to give back to the community as a result of book sales and donations, both monetary and books. Friends of the Library also have new T-shirts and book bags for sale.’
The Friends of the Library book sale will be Nov. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old Glensboro School at the corner of US 127 and US 62. New members are welcomed and will help to attain the goal of spreading literacy through the joy of reading. Members receive a 10 percent discount.
