Fundraiser will help child with cancer

A fundraiser to help a Nicholasville child stricken with cancer is scheduled for Dec. 3 at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort, according to one of its organizers, Major Amy Womack of Anderson County EMS.
Womack said the child was diagnosed in February, and given almost no chance to survive.
“She wasn’t expected to live 12 hours, but she has made it since February,” Womack said. “They are calling her a medical miracle.”
