Funding to replace an unsafe bridge that was closed earlier this year on Lanes Mill Road has been approved, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced.
The Anderson County Fiscal Court will receive $49,000 in county road aid funds, state officials announced.
The bridge was closed at the request of Anderson County Highway Foreman Chip Chambers, who said he contacted transportation officials after he climbed beneath the bridge and saw that its beams were swayed and rusted through.
