The Anderson County High School girls' golf team has gotten off to a strong start to what they hope turns out to be the strongest season in the sport's history at the school
The Lady Bearcats placed sixth overall in the Joy of Golf tournament, held at Wild Turkey Trace on Aug. 18. The tourney, which is quickly becoming known as one of the state's best, drew 22 teams and 99 golfers.
Anderson junior Kaitlyn Riley became the first Lady Bearcat to win the hometown tournament, shooting an even par 71 for the title.
