A Lawrenceburg woman was indicted Jan. 10 on a felony charge for cocaine possession, drug-related misdemeanor charges and a misdemeanor assault charge.
Sharon Burdick, 64, of 1663 Glensboro Road was indicted by the Anderson County Grand Jury for first-degree cocaine possession, a Class D felony.
She was also indicted for illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia; illegal possession of marijuana; second-degree possession of hydrocodone; and possession of controlled substances not in original container.
Burdick was also indicted for fourth-degree assault stemming from an incident that occurred last June when she is alleged to have intentionally or wantonly caused physical injury to Tracy Braziel.
The drug-related indictments are also from last June.
She was arrested by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
Also indicted last week was Kenneth Livingston King of 194 Mark Ave., Mount Washington.
King was indicted for flagrant non-support, a Class D felony.
King committed the offense when he persistently failed to provide support which could reasonably provide and which he had knowledge of the duty to provide by virtue of an Anderson Circuit Court order pertaining to his minor children, thereby accruing an arrearage of not less than $1,000 and/or failing to make payments for at least six consecutive months, according to court records.
