GOLF: Bearcats shooting for state berth at second home

Even before official practice began in July, the Anderson County High School boys' golf team has been pointing to Sept. 25.

That day, next Tuesday, is when the Bearcats will face their day of reckoning as the compete in the Region 4 Tournament at Lincoln Homestead State Park, near Springfield. It is the one chance the team has to advance to the state golf tournament, either as a team or individuals. The top two teams advance to the state meet along with the top three individuals not on those teams.
