A pet goose at the Kentucky State University farm off US 127 survived after a burglar shot it while stealing items Thursday night from an office building at the complex.
Burglars broke into the office, trashed it and stole about $8,000 worth of items, according to Tiua Chilton, the university’s assistant chief of police.
Why one of the burglars shot the goose is anyone’s guess, but Chilton figures it was to shut it up.
