The grandmother accused of tying up a 3-year-old girl avoided jail Tuesday after pleading guilty to criminal abuse, but still faces an investigation for perjury based on an investigation conducted by The Anderson News.
Carolyn Case, 65, pled guilty Tuesday morning in Circuit Court to one count second-degree criminal abuse, a Class D felony. The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office recommendation included a five-year sentence without the possibility of probation, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Laura Donnell.
