Harold Houchin Sims, 88, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He was the son of the late James Washington and Ledo Houchin Sims. He was instrumental in the restoration of Salt River Baptist Church, a member of First Baptist Church and member of the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class.
He served in Army during World War II where he earned a purple heart, and was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years.
