News of a second rabid dog being found in Kentucky has local health officials warning pet owners to have their animals vaccinated.
Tim Wright, interim director of the Anderson County Health Department, said both dogs were involved in confrontations with skunks.
“All animal owners are encouraged to immunize their dogs, cats and ferrets for rabies by the age of 4 months,” Wright said in a news release.
The dogs were located in Green County.
