Renee Durr, a nurse supervisor, was selected as the Anderson County Health Department’s employee of the year, the agency announced.
“Renee is an outstanding nurse and a valuable asset to our agency and those we serve,” said Brandon Hurley, public health director.
Several other employees celebrated several years of service with the health department and were also recognized, including Cindy Carlson, ARNP, for five years of service; Cheri Johnson, health nurse, for 10 years of service; and Bobbi Darnell, health nurse, for 20 years of service.
Employees celebrating one year of service include Amanda Blair, HANDS nurse, April Thomas, health educator, and Carlena Norton, senior support service associate.
“We have an amazing group of individuals who work at the health department,” Hurley said. “They’re all very passionate about public health and committed to protecting and promoting a healthier community.”
