The Anderson County High School girls’ soccer team earned a pair of wins in the Blue Grass State Games, defeating Henry County and Rowan County on July 26. Two more games, scheduled for July 27, were canceled due to the torrential rains that moved through the Lexington area.
The games do not count in the regular-season standings, but teams often use them as an opportunity to scrimmage against live opponents.
Against Henry, the Lady Bearcats took a 3-1 win as senior Claire Prater and freshmen Taylor Harley and Kinzie Roberts all scored.
