The rides have moved on to another county and the horses are cantering at other horse shows but the fair is far from over.
The Home, Craft & Garden Fair will be held Tues., July 22, at the community building in the county park.
Formerly known as Floral Hall and a part of the Lawrenceburg Fair & Horse Show, the Home, Craft & Garden Show is now a separate event and is still sponsored by the Anderson County Extension Homemakers.
The fair is open to all Kentucky residents. There is no charge to enter or exhibits.
Exhibits will be accepted Tues., July 22, from 9-11:30 a.m.
After judging by out-of-county judges, the exhibit will be open for public viewing from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Anyone not able to submit items Tuesday can enter them Mon., July 21, from 4:30-6p.m.
There will be a large number of classes to enter such as art, painting and drawing, ceramics, photography and gardening, food preservation, breads, cakes, cookies, candy, pies, knitting and crochet, needlework, quilts, clothing and sewing. There is a category for everyone’s interests.
Fair catalogs can be picked up at the extension office located in the county park and contains rules for entry as well as a listing of classes available.
