Honored to lay wreaths for soldiers

-A A +A

To the editor:
I was among 25,000 volunteers across the country who laid wreaths on the graves of our nation’s finest men and women on Dec. 14 for National Wreath Day.
Semi trucks full of wreaths lined the streets in Arlington National Cemetery. Soldiers and civilians alike were among the ranks lined up behind these trucks to get wreaths and begin placing them.
As a veteran of two tours to Iraq, it was a very enlightening and humbling experience.
I would like to thank American Legion Post 34, employees from Fayette Heating and Cooling as well as many other contributors who helped make this trip possible for me, and all those who donated money toward wreaths.
