Two fires at the same residence last Wednesday has sparked an investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
An unoccupied home at 1061 Long Road in western Anderson County caught fire two times in the span of five hours, the second causing heavy damage.
The first fire was called in at 2:19 p.m.; the second at 7:17.
“Three of us were at the Fire Station 4 working on air packs when the first call came out,” said Anderson County Fire Chief Mike Barnes. “I was there in five minutes and it had fire burning through the back wall of the house.
