‘Dollar bill’ fundraiser continues at Talk of the Town

By The Staff

Local businessmen Adam Shrout and Chase Parker of Talk of the Town recently raised more than $1,500 in donations for the Anderson Humane Society, according to a press release from the Humane Society.
Shrout and Parker joined with Lovers Leap Vineyard and Winery to hold a fundraising event on Oct. 20. Visitors got to sample local wines and Talk of the Town’s food, and buy raffle tickets for prizes donated by local businesses, including a large framed turkey print from the Frame Clinic and a gift basket from Four Roses Distillery.
According to the Humane Society, “Adam and Chase hoped this would bring in $1,000 for the Humane Society. To everyone’s delight, when everything was counted, it amounted to more than $1,500.”
“But they aren’t going to stop now. They have a new dollar bill wall started at the restaurant, and Adam and Chase hope to raise even more this time.
“So stop by and add your favorite dog’s name to the ‘wallpaper’ at Talk of the Town.”
