The Lawrenceburg hunter who was allegedly under the influence when birdshot from his gun struck a former Fish and Wildlife officer more than a year ago has pleaded guilty.
David Gaines, 41, of 1040 Lakeshore Drive pleaded guilty Nov. 5 on three Class D felony counts of wanton endangerment. A hunting under the influence charge was dismissed in a plea offer from the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office.
Sentencing is scheduled for 9 a.m. Dec. 3 in Anderson Circuit Court.
