Couple hurt when vehicle flips

By The Staff

A Lawrenceburg couple’s car flipped Sunday night on the Bluegrass Parkway, sending both to the hospital, according to a news release issued by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Department.

William Hudson, 55, and Deborah Hudson, 53, were each transported to the University of Kentucky Medical Center following the accident, which occurred near the Parkway’s 60-mile marker, according to Deputy Tony Likins.

William Hudson was driving west on the Parkway when his car left its land, crossed the median, flipped and slid to the right-hand shoulder of the eastbound lane, coming to rest on the guardrail, Likins said.

“After investigating, it is believed the ice road conditions were the major factor in the collision,” Likins said.

Deborah Hudson was flown to UK by LifeNet. Her husband was transported by Anderson County EMS.

Both were released from the hospital Monday.
