Job seekers who are transitioning personnel, veterans, members of the National Guard, reservists and their dependents will have an opportunity to meet nearly 30 employers at an Oct. 17 job fair, according to a news release.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Northeast Christian Church, 990 Star Shoot Parkway, Lexington. The free event is sponsored by the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training (OET).
“Our emphasis for this job fair will be on military veteran job seekers and companies looking to hire them. This is a great opportunity for job seekers and employers to connect in person and make multiple contacts in a short time period,” said Mike Noble, local veterans employment representative OET.
Attendees should be prepared for interviews, bring proof of military service such as a DD214, VA or military ID card and a current resume.
