Kentucky author Maryjean Wall will present "Between North & South: Kentucky Horses and the Civil War" at the Anderson Public Library as a part of the Kentucky Humanities Program.
Ms. Wall's story is about the love by people for Kentucky horses during the Civil War.
Soldiers, guerillas, and outlaws prized Kentucky horse for their speed, endurance and agility in battle. They raided Bluegrass farms with impunity and on one occasion, rode off with arguably the best racehorse in America.
