Lady Bearcats blast Caldwell for Shelby tournament title

SHELBYVILLE – Anderson County used a quick start to rout previously unbeaten Caldwell County 53-24 in the championship game of the Max Performance Lady Rocket Invitational tournament at Shelby County High School on Tuesday night.

Anderson used an 11-1 run to build a 20-6 lead late in the first quarter, then continued to pour it on throughout the contest. The final margin was Anderson's biggest.

“Our overall focus was excellent,” said Anderson coach Tony Kays. “Our offensive execution and our defense were both good.”
