Lady Bearcats defeat East Jessamine in extra innings

-A A +A
By The Staff

Anderson County erupted for three runs in the eighth inning to post a 5-2 win at East Jessamine last Tuesday night.

East Jessamine, which, like Anderson, has intentions of playing in the state tournament next month, held the Lady Bearcat attack in check until the teams went to the international tie-breaker in the eighth inning.

Leann Ashby, running for Bailey Curry, who had made the last out in the seventh, was placed at second base. Alissa Vest followed with a sharp single up the middle, then after moving to third on a passed ball, scored on Kaci Currens' double.
