LEXINGTON—Anderson County learned quite a bit about itself Tuesday night.
The Lady Bearcats played without one starter and saw another on the bench with foul trouble for over half the game but held off host Lafayette 51-46 in the basketball season opener for both teams on Tuesday night.
“The thing I was most proud of was how they hit us in the mouth and made a run at us, but our kids responded,” said Anderson coach Tony Kays.
