Anderson County jumped to a 14-6 lead after a quarter and never looked back as the Lady Bearcats trounced host Henry Clay in girls’ high school basketball action on Tuesday night.

Freshman Mackenzie Cann buried five 3-point shots and scored 20 points to lead Anderson, which improved to 10-4 on the season. Another freshman, Eriel McKee, scored 13.

Henry Clay fell to 2-7.

Anderson, which has won all three of its games against Lexington schools this season, looks to remain perfect on Saturday, Jan. 8, when the Lady Bearcats play Bryan Station in the Martin Luther King Classic at Paul L. Dunbar High School. Tipoff is set for 4:30 p.m.
