The Christian Academy of Lawrenceburg volleyball team placed second in the regional tournament, held on Oct. 19. Team members Nancy Lee Holt and Brette Elliott were named to the all-region team. The Lady Rams went into the state tournament ranked seventh out of 16 Christian schools in the state playing volleyball. It is the highest a Christian Academy volleyball team has ever been ranked.

At the state, however, the Lady Rams ran into top-seeded Somerset Christian in the first round and were eliminated after a short stay.

In a news release, Lady Rams' coach Meghan Bowling said she was “tremendously pleased with the efforts of our team. It was an amazing accomplishment for a group of girls that started slowly but really came together as a team at the end of the season. I could not be more proud of what they have done this season. We're a very young team, losing only one senior, so we look forward to building this program on the success of this season.”

According to a news release, the team was clinging to the words of Romans 8:28, which says, “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
