The city council voted unanimously to approve a $1.092 million bid for the new Wild Turkey water storage tank at its Feb. 13 meeting.
The council approved 5-0, with council member Ken Evans absent from the meeting, to accept the lowest bid for the project from Louisville company Caldwell Tanks, Inc., at $1,092,000.
The bid includes construction of the new water storage tank on Wild Turkey property, as well as the removal of the two current water storage tanks on Center Street. The new water tank will increase volume capacity by 300,000 gallons.
