He’d already watched the presidential debate (said Republican candidate Mitt Romney did an “outstanding job.”)
Last Thursday’s vice presidential debate seemed like the perfect place to spend the day with his grandparents Rick and Linda Shannon, volunteers with Centre College in pre-debate preparations, and watch the politics he’d learned about in school unfold in real life.
