Lawrenceburg man charged with rape of 16-year-old girl

A Lawrenceburg man remains behind bars after being charged with the first-degree rape of a 16-year-old female.

Larry Wayne Cook, 28, of 442 Secretariat Drive, "grabbed the victim, pushed her onto the bed, punched her, grabbed her around the neck and had sexual intercourse with her," according to a warrant served Nov. 10 by officer Jeremy Cornish of the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

The criminal complaint alleges that Cook engaged in sexual intercourse with the juvenile by "forcible compulsion."
