A poker run organized by two Lawrenceburg residents and held in honor of slain Bardstown officer Jason Ellis raised roughly $35,000 for the Ellis family.
Two Lawrenceburg residents, Kevin and Stephanie Turner, helped to organize the “Officer Jason Ellis Benefit Poker Run” held Aug. 24 with the assistance of Matt Schrader at Joe Hill’s in Bardstown and the Kentucky Victory Owners Group (KY VOG), according to Poker Run volunteer Julie Woods.
