The Easter egg hunt sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary, the Legion and the city of Lawrenceburg was held March 30.
This egg hunt was thought to be the largest attendance ever, according to an Auxiliary press release.
The 8,000 eggs were filled with candy by seven AYCC members and 60 Beta Club members as well as Auxiliary ladies and other volunteers. There was $120 in 5- and 1-dollar bills placed in many of the eggs. There were four age groups and a special needs group with three prize baskets for each group. Several Auxiliary members made the prize baskets.
