The American Legion Auxiliary held its annual Lunch with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 9. Santa came to the Legion on the fire truck.
There were about 100 children who got their picture taken while sitting on Santa’s lap.
Santa gave a bag of candy to each child. Many parents and grandparents attended with the children.
Hot dogs, jelly sandwiches, chips, cookies and soft drinks were served to everyone.
Junior members entertained the children with games, coloring books and crayons while waiting their turn to see Santa. Each child received a small gift as they came in.
AYCC children arrived early to make cards for the troops and to assist in getting ready for Santa. Two volunteers from the service group “Everyone Plays” also assisted.
Many Auxiliary members, Post and SAL members volunteered to work the event.
