I just wanted to let you know I enjoyed following the library story [“Spending more, taxing less,” Dec. 15 edition]. It was a great example of how our tax system works.
The article in last week’s paper about [ousted highway foreman] Chip Chambers and the hypocrisy of local government was priceless, as well. I loved the picture of him receiving the $25 gift certificate. If only the fiscal court could be that tight with our tax money.
I appreciate all the good work you do with the paper.
