Library hosts dessert cook off

The Anderson Public Library’s “Bedtime Stories” hosted a dessert contest Jan. 28, according to a news release from the library.
About 32 children and 34 adults attended the contest with nine entries in the dessert competition, according to the release.
The first place winner was Laura Johnson, using her mom’s recipe of blackberry cobbler. Donna and Douglas Rogers came in second place with banana butter pecan cake with cream cheese icing and Jarrett McCreary came in third with maple bacon cupcakes.
